One day, my 6yo son photographed the entire apartment with his toy camera — the walls, the floor, the bed, the plates on the table. He wanted to preserve the place forever. What if it disappeared.

I selected 12 of his photos and composed ambient tracks dedicated to each fragment of our home. That’s how album 0071.jpg was born.
It’s both parallel music and music of feelings. It’s perfect for working, relaxing, or doing everyday chores. It’s great for dreaming or just lying on the couch. If you play this album and at some point stop noticing the music — that means it worked.

Sliding Pictures out

«Sliding Pictures» has been released.

The Album is about transformation of the concept of home against the backdrop of two wars. A bomb shelter in Tel Aviv, a snow-covered Novoslobodskaya street, Mitzpe Street with the smell of the sea, the tree-lined Vykhino district — I rush through them as if in a dream.

The album title is a reference to transfer USSR stickers from the 70s. Sliding pictures capture the moment when a part of life has already been imprinted on tiles, while its continuation hangs in the air. In this movement — lies all the beauty and horror. I find home in it.

Almost all tracks on the album are collaborations with my friends, musicians, and alumni.

It’s as if I’ve had an epiphany: for the first time, I’ve gone beyond my self and found new strength in collaboration and synergy. It seems that with this strength, one can endure any war and truly feel support.

The brilliant cover of the animated months was made by Polina Gisich.

Music video «Pomyat»

The music video for the song «Pomyat» is a stop-motion clay animation that tells a story about a new home and its loss, friendships, and inner strength. It emphasizes the idea that no matter the adversity we face, we won’t disappear.

This impressive short film was entirely created by Sasha Madiken, involving the construction of sets, filming, editing, and post-production, all completed within a month.

New music book is published!

Anton Maskeliade wrote a book for beginner musicians called “Your First Track“.

Today, anyone can create their own music using only a computer and headphones. If you have something to say to the world, you can also become a musician.

The book will guide you through all the steps of creating a musical track: from the idea and sounds to the released track. The book will help to deal with criticism and procrastination. It has three principal parts: how the music is arranged, how to make it technically and how to engage in creativity. Your first track may appear in a few hours.

Successful Russian editor Maxim Ilyahov was the editor of the book.
